As sad as it may be, I am usually in bed by 10 every night including on the weekends. This weekend has been quite the exception though. Last night, we went to our good friends' home for a much needed visit. We didn't get home until ONE IN THE MORNING!!!! Yeesh! Then, I had to get up at 5:30 to help out at another friend's home, get home in time to drop the kids at the babysitter, attend a funeral, get back to the babysitters, get home, make dinner, bathe children and put them into bed. (oof!) Now here I am, 15 hours later, running on little to no sleep, and realizing that my weekend is pretty much gone. What happened!?!?! Oh well. It happens to all of us. :(
In lighter news, I do have the opportunity to go with my daughter on a field trip to The Desert Botanical Gardens. I've lived in Arizona my whole life (give or take a year), and I have never been. That's just plain silly. The coolest part about it though, is that Dale Chihuly has some BEAUTIFUL artwork in the gardens. I'm thrilled!!! The Botanical gardens also have "The Butterfly Pavillion" which is a giant enclosure filled with butterflies. The coolest part about it though? You get to go inside and the butterflies land all over you! Heehee! It's gonna be so fun to experience with my little girl!
